Dink Back to Give Back! 

We’re proud to announce the inaugural MARIS Pickleball Invitational Tournament!  

It doesn't matter if you're stepping onto the court for the very first time or a pro, or whether you’re a banger or a dink specialist, or whether you’re a back-line beauty or a kitchen sinker. Hey – it doesn’t even matter if you didn’t understand any of those references!

The MARIS Pickleball Invitational offers something for every skill level while bringing our community together for a great day of competition, connection, and giving back. 

Play for a Purpose 

The MARIS Pickleball Invitational isn't just about great matches and friendly competition... it's about making a difference. 

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit St. Louis Children's Hospital. 

Every serve, volley, and championship point helps support children and families throughout our region.  

Tournament Divisions 

Players of all experience levels are welcome to participate. We will have two categories: MARIS Membership and Open Public.  

The MARIS Membership category must include a MARIS subscriber on their team. If you have a MARIS login, you qualify. The MARIS Membership category is eligible for the fantastic trophies listed below, as well as prize money! Note that unlike the Open Public category, there are no skill divisions... only bragging rights.  

The Open Public category is for anyone outside of MARIS. The Open Public tournament will feature doubles team competition with divisions based on DUPR skill ratings:  

Beginner Division 

New to pickleball? We've got you covered. 

The Beginner Division begins with a morning instructional clinic where players will learn the fundamentals of the game from experienced instructors before heading into tournament play. 

It's the perfect way to build confidence, meet fellow players, and experience the excitement of competitive pickleball. 

Intermediate Division 

Designed for players with recreational or tournament experience who are looking for competitive, evenly matched play. 

Advanced Division 

Fast-paced, high-level competition for experienced players ready to compete for tournament honors.  

Note: Each player may register for one event only.  

Tournament Format 

The MARIS Pickleball Invitational will feature a Round Robin tournament format, ensuring each team receives multiple opportunities to compete throughout the day.  

Divisions advance to championship rounds following Round Robin play, and tournament play will follow.  

Space is limited, and divisions may fill quickly. 

Registration 

Registration Fee: $50 per player/$100 per team   

Registration includes: 

• Round Robin tournament play 

• Access to the event 

• Opportunity to compete for championship awards 

• Supporting St. Louis Children's Hospital through tournament proceeds

Prizes

The prizes for both the MARIS Membership category and the 3.5 Open Public category are: 

• 1st Place: $500/team
• 2nd Place: $250/team
• 3rd Place: $100/team 

Medals will also be awarded to the top competitors! 

MARIS Category Championship Awards 

In addition to the prizes listed above, champions of the MARIS Membership Category won't just earn bragging rights... they'll compete for beautifully crafted trophies that celebrate excellence within the MARIS community! 

MARIS Cup  The tournament's highest honor, awarded to the overall winner of the MARIS Category. The MARIS Cup will be a large perpetual trophy displayed at the MARIS office, with each year's champion engraved on the trophy.
Shareholder Cup  The Shareholder Cup is awarded to the 2nd place winner of the MARIS Category.  The Shareholder Cup will remain with the winning association until the following year's MARIS Pickleball Invitational.
Broker Cup  The Broker Cup is a take-home trophy awarded to the 3rd place winner of the MARIS Category, a permanent testament to their skill and Pickleball bragging rights.

The MARIS Pickleball Invitational brings together agents, brokers, shareholders, business partners, and friends for a memorable day built around friendly competition, meaningful connections, and giving back to our community. 

Whether you're playing to win, learning the game for the first time, or simply cheering on colleagues from the sidelines, you'll be part of a new MARIS tradition that combines sportsmanship with service.
