Heads Up! Matrix System Conversion Happening Tonight!
This evening, we’re rolling out a system conversion in Matrix to align our input fields with the RESO Data Dictionary Standards. In simple terms, we’re updating how you enter listing information to make data sharing smoother, more accurate, and fully in sync with industry standards.
This is an important upgrade, and we know change can bring questions. That’s why we want to keep you in the loop with a few key things to watch for.
Your auto emails have migrated.
During the system conversion, our specialized data team matched each of our existing new fields to the legacy field. This process was done to reduce the impact of searching aspects of the system. This was done to ensure minimal disruption to your saved searches and auto emails. We recommend reviewing your auto emails to verify everything is working as expected. There should be no change in the client experience or properties received; however, in the rare case that we could not properly match your old criteria to the new criteria, we have disabled the auto-email.
Incomplete will look a little bit different
While Incomplete is still available, it no longer appears in the status dropdown on the input screen. When creating a new listing, the status will automatically be set to Incomplete. You can still select a status to view the requirements for those statuses. To save your listing as Incomplete and return to it later, click “Submit as Incomplete,” or to submit to Active or Coming Soon, click “Submit.” As a reminder, Incomplete does not satisfy MARIS guidelines for listing submission
Office Exclusive is now a status indicator.
Office Exclusive has been updated from a status to a yes/no field. This change improves how we reflect the true availability of these listings and aligns with industry standards.
AI integration into the Agent and Marketing Remarks
You are now able to get your Marketing and Agent Only remarks started by using the AI within Matrix. Make sure to use this feature after completing the listing input-the AI will scan your listing input to create a starting point for you.
There are new listing input types (and forms!)
We’ve reorganized listing categories to better reflect today’s market:
Residential (formerly Residential, Condominium, and New Construction),
Residential Income (Formerly Multifamily 2-4 and Multifamily 5+)
Residential Lease
Farm
Lots & Land
Commercial Lease
Commercial Sale
Draft forms are available at: marismls.com/newforms
Final versions will be published here: marismls.com/members/forms
New Construction is a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ field.
To reduce redundancy, a New Construction yes/no field has been added. We’ve eliminated the Year-Built Exception field to streamline data entry. When selecting New Construction, the Year Built field is no longer required.
Marketing and agent remarks have been updated.
You asked and we delivered! Marketing remarks have been updated to 1500 characters and 1000 for the Agent-Only remarks.
You will add a Virtual Tour through the edit screen
No need to leave your listing to add a Virtual Tour! This field will now be accessible on the edit screen.
Residential, New Construction, and Condominium are in the same property type.
This means that Duplicate Listings are no longer necessary for Residential, Condominium, and New Construction as they are all part of the same property type.
Auction is not a transaction type
Just like Office Exclusive, Auction is no longer a transaction type. It’s now a yes/no selection for simpler, more consistent input.
