FirstMLS and MARIS Launch Two-Way Data Share

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FirstMLS and MARIS Launch Two-Way Data Share Connecting Real Estate Professionals Across Georgia, Missouri, and Illinois

New partnership gives professionals native access to listing data across three states, helping them serve clients wherever their real estate needs take them

ATLANTA, GA and ST. LOUIS, MO — 8/19/26 — First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) and Mid-America Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MARIS) today announced a new two-way data-sharing partnership that gives participating real estate professionals native access to listing information across their respective markets.

Through the partnership, FMLS and MARIS professionals can access listings from the other organization’s market directly within the MLS platform they already use making the process seamless. The two-way connection eliminates the need for a separate login or system, making it easier for agents to search for properties, identify opportunities and serve clients whose real estate needs extend beyond their local market.

Today’s real estate consumers increasingly move, invest and purchase property across geographic boundaries. Whether relocating for a job, moving closer to family, purchasing a second home or exploring investment opportunities, clients expect their real estate professionals to help them navigate markets wherever their needs take them.

“Real estate clients don’t think about MLS boundaries when they’re deciding where to live, work or invest,” said Jeremy Crawford, President and CEO of FMLS. “This partnership with MARIS helps remove those boundaries for real estate professionals. By bringing this listing data directly into the MLS platforms they already use, we’re giving agents a more efficient way to serve their clients while creating new opportunities for collaboration and referrals across markets.”

The two-way nature of the partnership provides benefits to both real estate professionals and the clients they serve. Agents gain greater visibility into properties outside their traditional market, while sellers have the opportunity for their listings to be discovered by professionals serving buyers in connected markets.

For buyers, broader access can provide greater visibility into available properties and allow their agents to help them explore markets beyond their immediate area. For agents, the expanded access can create new opportunities to build relationships with professionals in other markets and remain a trusted resource when a client’s real estate needs cross geographic boundaries.

“MARIS is excited to partner with FMLS to expand the reach and comprehensiveness of MLS data available to real estate professionals,” said Cameron Paine, President and CEO of MARIS. “This two-way connection gives our subscribers access to additional inventory within the MLS environment they already know, and provides quality exposure of our broker’s listings to real estate professionals in the Atlanta metro area and beyond.”

The FMLS–MARIS data share reflects a broader shift in real estate toward greater collaboration among MLS organizations and a more connected experience for professionals and consumers. With native, two-way access, participating agents can use the expanded data to: serve relocation clients, expand referral opportunities, serve second-home and investment clients, increase listing exposure, strengthen client relationships, and work more efficiently.

“MLS organizations should be looking for ways to work together that make it easier for professionals to serve consumers,” Crawford said. “FMLS is committed to partnerships that expand access, remove unnecessary barriers and create a more connected real estate marketplace. MARIS is a great example of what is possible when like-minded MLS organizations work together.”

The FMLS–MARIS data share represents another step toward creating a more connected MLS ecosystem while preserving the local market expertise and relationships that are essential to the real estate profession.
