The MLS Exemption Form has been removed from MARISmls.com as we prepare for the implementation of NAR’s 8.0 Clear Cooperation Policy on April 28th. Properties already MLS Exempt can remain so until April 28th. At that time, to comply with NAR policy, current MLS exempt properties will need to be input as one of the following:
Withheld Status if not publicly advertised
Active or Coming Soon if publicly advertised

In the place of the MLS Exemption form, you will now find the Marketing Options form. This form has been provided to help guide you and your client as you choose which status(es) to use when listing property. The form is optional unless choosing Withheld. In that case, the form must be completed, signed, and maintained with other listing paperwork in your brokerage files. The Marketing Options Form does not need to be submitted to MARIS unless specifically requested by MARIS staff.
Please note, MARIS rules require listing entry within 5 business days. MLS Exemptions are no longer an option. NAR’s 8.0 Clear Cooperation requires entry within 1 business day of public marketing. As discussed in our recent blog post on revisions to the Coming Soon status, we have temporarily extended maximum time in status to 60 days.
