- Has MARIS adopted NAR's new Clear Cooperation Policy (CCP) to include one-to-one communication?
- Yes, as of March 25, 2025 one-to-one communication is permitted under the new policy interpretation.
- What are examples of communication not permitted when a property is in Office Exclusive (OE) status?
- An email about an OE property with more than one recipient from another brokerage (including BCC).
- Sharing an OE property on a conference call, video conference, or live discussion with more than 1 party from a different brokerage.
- Advertising an OE listing on a website or on social marketing.
- Can I show my OE listing outside my brokerage?
- Yes, under the limitations of the one-to-one communication policy clarification.
- Has MARIS updated its Office Exclusive Certification Form?
- Has MARIS implemented NAR's new "Delayed Marketing" policy?
- No, MARIS is considering several options and will have a policy in place before NAR's mandated date of September 30, 2025.
- Can I advertise that I have an OE listing?
- Yes, however, if MARIS or another subscriber to the service can identify the specific property from your advertisement, a violation may be assessed.
- After publicly marketing my property, how long do I have to change my OE listing to Active to remain in compliance?
- One business day.
- Where do I find more information on MARIS' compliance policies?
- I want MARIS to change the CCP mandate. What do I do?
- As a Realtor-owned MLS, MARIS is required to follow NAR Policy. Contact your primary Association of Realtors for assistance on voicing your concerns.
